Our shop is listed in both the Wisconsin and the National Historical Records. It was originally built as a barn, constructed totally from native field stone and completely round. Built by seven Finnish brothers and their father, who believed that because steel was used in war, nails should not be used for construction. Instead of nails, the whole roof was built as a dome using wood pegs to hold it together. There is also a high-fired glazed brick silo that extends from the sub-basement of the barn and a natural spring inside the building.
